This Privacy Policy explains how Lucas Uriel Acosta ("we," "us," or "our"), operating SoonPatch, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, account dashboard, and macOS application (collectively, "SoonPatch").
We are committed to your privacy. This policy is designed to be straightforward: we do not collect your code, your Slack links, your repository contents, or any work product. All such data stays on your device.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: Your email address and any details provided during registration or billing, handled by Lemon Squeezy on our behalf.
2.2 Information collected automatically
From the macOS app:
- License validation data: Your license key and subscription status are verified with our servers to confirm your subscription is active. No personal or work data is transmitted during this process.
- Per-account usage data: We collect usage data associated with your account. This includes: features triggered, workflow step counts, session durations, number of chats initiated, and AI model used per session. This data is linked to your account and used to improve the product, monitor service performance (including third-party AI provider reliability), and inform support. It contains no content from your work environment — no code, no Slack data, no repository information.
From the website and dashboard:
- Log data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and similar technologies on our website. This includes first-party cookies necessary for authentication and dashboard functionality, as well as third-party cookies from analytics and advertising providers. See Section 7 (Cookies and Tracking) for full details.
2.3 What we do NOT collect
- Your code, files, or repository contents
- Your Slack messages or permalink contents
- Any output generated by your local Claude CLI
- Any personally identifiable information beyond your email address
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve SoonPatch
- Verify your subscription and deliver access to the Software
- Respond to support requests
- Monitor and improve feature performance on a per-account and aggregate basis
- Identify and respond to third-party service degradation (e.g. AI provider reliability)
- Personalize your experience on our website
- Carry out marketing and advertising activities
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as aggregated or de-identified usage data) with third parties for purposes such as analytics, marketing, and advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
Lemon Squeezy processes all payments and subscription management on our behalf. When you subscribe, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment information according to their own privacy policy. We receive only the information necessary to verify your subscription status.
We may also use third-party analytics and advertising tools on our website, which may include services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, PostHog, or similar providers. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our website and other websites in order to provide measurement, analytics, and advertising services. Each such provider operates under their own privacy policy.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services we use.
5. Cookies and Tracking
5.1 Types of cookies we use
- Essential cookies: Required for account login and dashboard functionality. Cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with our website (e.g., pages visited, time spent, features used). Used to improve SoonPatch.
- Advertising cookies: Used to make marketing more relevant to you, including retargeting ads on other platforms. These cookies may track your browser across other websites.
5.2 Other tracking technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use pixel tags (also called web beacons or tracking pixels), JavaScript, and log data to understand how our website and marketing campaigns perform. Third-party advertising platforms (such as Meta or Google) may set their own tracking technologies when you visit our site.
5.3 Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of the website. For advertising opt-outs, you can use tools provided by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI).
6. Data Retention
- Account and subscription data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.
- Per-account usage data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of this data at any time by contacting support@soonpatch.com.
- Server log data is retained for up to 90 days.
7. Business Transfer
If SoonPatch is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website if such a transfer occurs and your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability

GDPR (European users): If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the rights described above under the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you (subscription) and our legitimate interest in improving the product and monitoring service reliability.
CCPA (California users): We do not sell personal information. California residents may request disclosure or deletion of their personal data by contacting us at the address below.
10. International Transfers
SoonPatch is operated from Argentina. If you are located outside Argentina, your information may be transferred to and processed in Argentina or the country where our infrastructure providers operate. By using SoonPatch, you consent to this transfer.
11. Children
SoonPatch is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in your account dashboard. The updated policy will include a revised "Last updated" date at the top.
